Seldomly asked questions
Are you the same person as Lori Inglis Hall?
No, I am a different person. I do know Lori though - she’s my cousin.
Can I purchase the film rights to one of your stories?
Yes. You will find my terms exceptionally reasonable. I believe there is a huge untapped market for films about manticores, old coins, and space fishermen, and this is your chance to get in on the ground floor.
Are you connected to the writer John Inglis Hall?
Yes. He was my great-grandfather. My Clarkesworld story Fishing the Intergalactic Stream is a play on his Fishing the Highland Stream, and he is mentioned in the story as the ancestor who once wrote about the Truim. My story The Cow in my Mind is also a reference to his The Cat in my Mind, although his book is happier and has less violence towards imaginary beings.
Can I make a stage musical out of one of your stories?
I will literally give you money to make a stage musical out of one of my stories.
What’s your process?
I walk around Edinburgh being stressed until I have an idea I like. I’ve tried walking around not being stressed but unfortunately it’s just not the same.
