Louis Inglis Hall is a writer of short fiction. He studied Classics at the University of Edinburgh and has lived in the city ever since. His work covers the spectrum of horror, fantasy and science fiction.

He is a finalist for the 2026 Eugie Foster Memorial Award for Short Fiction.

Louis was longlisted for the Fish Short Story Prize in 2024 and for ‘Best Shorter Fiction’ by the British Science Fiction Association in 2026. His story ‘Numismatic Archetypes in the Year of Five Regents’ received a Numismatic Literary Guild award in 2025.
